#1 How do you feel about the Midwest Police Motorcycle Training class curriculum? Do you feel there should be changes?
I feel the Friday class is very good in setting up the riding course. The manual is written is such a way that it is easy to understand and grasp the concepts, especially after riding the course.
#2 How do you feel about the instruction? Did the instructors relay the information to you in such a way that you felt successful at this training? Were they professional and able to demonstrate each exercise?
The instruction was excellent. They make it look so easy which translates to the student that if you practice you to can ride like a expert. Every exercise was demonstrated and reviewed, so that the student should have known exactly what to do and expect. Unfortunately it takes some of us a little longer for the info to sink in.
#3 What exercise was the hardest? The easiest?
For me the hardest exercise was the cone weave and the right hand turn from a stop. I failed on the 180 turn, but that was my own doing.
#4 Do you feel that you gained experience and knowledge from this class?
Without a doubt, I am a much better rider than I was when I first took the course. The lessons are invaluable and the confidence level and respect for the motorcycle is beyond any thoughts I had prior to the course.
#5 Do you feel that this class would be beneficial for every motorcycle rider?
There is not a recreational rider out there who would not benefit from taking the course.
#6 Do you think that this class makes a rider "road worthy"?
I cannot imagine that anyone who took the course is not a better rider for doing it.
#7 Would you refer potential riders and veteran riders alike to sign up for Midwest training?
I already have and will continue to do so. It is the most valuable riding course anywhere available to the public.
#8 Would you like to take an additional Midwest course next year? Classes such as Advanced training, Two-up rider courses or private lessons? How about a motorcycle safety day event sponsored by Midwest?
Absolutely. Of course, I have to pass the basic class first before I move on.
#9 Is this class worth the money you paid? More? Less?
How do you put a price on safety? It is more than worth the money I paid.
#10 Please sum up your overall experience with the Midwest civilian motorcycle program.
It was a great experience and I know that I am a much better rider for it. I am more aware of the riders around me and that alone makes me better. It is a terrific class and will definitely take it again. Thanks for all your help.
